Total Hydration's - Exotic Sunless Bronzing Mist is a perfect sized 7.0 fluid ounce spray that provides your client the convenience of at home use for all over self tanning or in-between salon spray touch ups.
Some people do not feel comfortable getting undressed and being sprayed by an individual while some dislike booth sprays. Total Hydration - Exotic Sunless Bronzing Mist provides an optional service to your clients they can take home to use at their leisure and comfort level.
Shower fresh clean scent will not interfere with any perfumes your client uses during DHA development time. Also contains Ordenone, a "fragrance" that helps reduce the unpleasant DHA development odor.
Ease of application. Quick drying time. Great color guide for all skin tones. Natural developed color. Each can supplies about four to five applications depending on the individual and use.
How Our Sunless Bronzer Works
Total Hydration's Exotic Sunless Bronzing Mist's active ingredient is Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA is a colorless 3-carbon sugar when applied to the skin a chemical reaction with the amino acids in the surface cells of the skin occurs. This is how the bronzing/tanning effect is produced. DHA affects only the outermost cells of the epidermis.
How Long Will Your Tan Last?
The tanning action usually appears within a few hours of application. Maximum darkening may take 6-8 hours to develop. An artificial tan produced by DHA will last until the dead skin cells rub off, usually 5-7 days with a single application. Individual results may vary.
How Was Total Hydration's Exotic Sunless Bronzing Mist Formulated?
White Wave International Laboratories, Inc. formulated Total Hydration - Exotic Sunless Bronzing Mist with an effective concentration of DHA which works well with light to dark skin tones. This formulation is fine for both beginning and experienced self tanners. Total Hydration - Exotic Sunless Bronzing Mist's formulation contains unique extracts of Hawaiian white ginger and orchid for added hydration. Our quick drying formula is effective for salon use as well as at home use due to its ease of application. Total Hydration's formulation contains no animal by-products and will never be tested on animals. We utilize only the highest quality raw materials on the market. Always inform yourself on the products you buy, read the ingredient list! For maximum results, always exfoliate prior to self tanning and keep skin moisturized.
Tanning Tips
Apply to dry clean skin, so shower and exfoliate prior to spraying. Do not use any deodorant, lotions, body oils or make-up until after spraying. Many tutorial videos show people spraying themselves in the bathroom, yet we recommend more open areas, such as the bedroom, in front of a mirror,standing on a towel with the ceiling fan on low. Typically you should keep the can about eight inches away from the body when spraying. Try holding the can eight to twelve inches away while you are still learning.
Spray your body in sections, starting with your arms. Spray making sure you cover all areas of your arms, do not forget to spray the side of your shoulder and the under arm area. Set the can down and give your arm a good quick rub, focusing on the inside and outside of your elbow. The outside of the elbow has harder skin which the active ingredient DHA adheres to quicker and the inside of the elbow can crease, so spray lightly there and rub well. Spray your hand lighter than the other areas of your arm and rub the spray on the top of your hand. Use the fingers of your other hand to rub in between the fingers of the sprayed hand, blending in the color. When in doubt rub! While learning to spray, if you get too close, do not panic and just rub it in well.
Proceed to spray the rest of your body in sections. Typically the easiest way to proceed is arms, torso, back, legs, neck, and face. Spray your torso, belly, sides and back.
Do your legs the same as you did your arms and hands, making sure you get the back of the legs and buttocks. Pay attention to the knee area, back and front. The knee cap, like the elbow, has harder skin and the DHA will adhere easier, so rub in well. Spray your feet a bit lighter than the rest of the body and then use your fingers to blend in between your toes. Rub the spray in well around your ankle (another hard skin spot) and the top of your foot. Do not spray the soles of your feet.
The face and neck area is simple. Spray and rub. Blend the spray around your ears, over your entire face, neck and shoulders. Hold your breath and close your eyes while spraying.
When you are done spraying, wash your hands well with soap and water immediately. You will see some of the caramel color guide wash off the palms of your hands. Wash until the water runs clear. Make sure you wash in between your fingers gently so not to remove total color. Wipe the palms of your hands dry and blot the top of hands gently.
Take the towel you stood on while spraying and fold it so the bottom of the towel is what you are using. Run it under tap water until moist then wipe the soles of your feet. Also use this to lightly blot the inside of your elbow to avoid creasing.
Throw the towel in the wash and you are done!
It may sound like a task, but after your first few applications, you will become a spray tanning pro!Even though you do not have to rub the spray in, we choose to do so as it always gives us a flawless blend into the skin, eliminating user error.
One can gives most clients an average of six sprays. The average time it takes to spray the body for experienced users is only about seven to ten minutes total. For a darker tan, repeat. Many of our clients spray only once for the perfect sun kissed look, making for a better look and an overall better feel. Total Hydration - Exotic Sunless Bronzing Mists evens out skin tones, giving your skin added moisture and a glowing radiant look.
The fragrance will not interfere with any perfumes you choose to use after spraying. Keep your skin moisturized to prolong your tan. After your spray tan dries (about five minutes) you can apply a small amount of lotion over the entire body. This gives a final blend and locks in color.
No swimming, showering or sweaty activities for at least 6 hours! This is the time it takes for the DHA to develop.
Precautions
Total Hydration's self-tanner DOES NOT contain any sunscreen. Therefore it does not provide protection to your skin against the sun. Despite tanning of the skin, an individual is just as susceptible to harmful UV rays. It cannot be stressed enough that an overall sun protection program is still needed for sun exposure. Use only as directed.
